Think  about some of the mundane  things you do for 30 minutes a day. Watch  soap operas ? Sit in traffic?
Surf boring  sites on the internet? Wouldn't you rather spend that time helping to ensure a long,fit ,heart-happy existence ? Last month , our quiz "How Healthy Is Your Heat? examined the state of this most vital organ and whether your diet,exercise levels ,emotional state and exposure to pollutants might cause problems .This month , we offer easy health-boosting tactics in each of these four key areas -and they will take only 30 minutes a day.

EAT SMART 
A nutritious diet needn't  be restrictive ,costly or time-consuming if you follow a few simple rules .
1. Stick to five groups

Nuts and fish, particularly cold-water  ocean species,are rich in omega -3 fatty acids that keep heart rhythm steady and discourage blood clotting. Research has found that just two servings of oily fish(avoid frying)a week can reduce your heart - attack risk by a third .Eat white meat , beans and eggs -regularly .For vegetarians ,there are fewer sources of omega -3 fatty acids , but walnuts ,lentils and flexseeds are good options.
